Bishop & Company is recruiting a Satellite Engineer/Teleport Manager for our client, a leading provider of satellite communication services in Kapolei, HI.

Job Description: As the Teleport Manager, you will oversee the Network Operations Center for our client. Your key responsibilities will include:

• Overseeing the repair and maintenance of all site facilities, including A/C systems, building structures, power runs, rack installations, and outside plant.
• Conducting preventive maintenance on all RF equipment and antennas.
• Assisting in the training of operations personnel on RF and facilities systems.
• Supervising 1st and 2nd level technical support, including monitoring alarms, opening trouble tickets, escalating and repairing issues, and setting shift coverage.
• Providing after-hours support for all operations activities.
• Maintaining inventory of all parts and equipment for the station, including antennas, RF/IFL equipment, splitters/combiners, adapters, racks, and cabling.
• Coordinating new customer installations and existing customer upgrades.
• Documenting all work performed.
• Performing other related duties as assigned.
• Being reachable after hours for support issues.

Basic Requirements:

• Eight years of experience in operations and maintenance of communications satellite facilities and/or data centers with satellite communications connectivity.
• A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a combination of military training in Satcom systems and relevant experience.
• High energy and hands-on approach to work.
• Experience in managing teams of operations personnel is a major plus.

Compensation: $85,000-$110,000 annually
