Porter Scott, Sacramento’s premier civil litigation firm, is looking for attorneys who are ambitious and energetic self-starters with an interest in civil litigation. Excellent writing, oral advocacy and time-management skills are required. Prior law firm experience is preferred, but not required. Candidates should be members in good standing with the California State Bar.

Responsibilities:

• All aspects of litigation, including defense strategy development, written discovery, drafting and arguing motions, taking, and defending depositions, trial preparation and trial.
• Work collaboratively with partners, other associates to develop appropriate legal strategies.
• Provide direction to supporting legal assistants, law clerks and paralegals.
