Job Title: Sourcing Analyst

Position Type: W2 Contract through Russell Tobin & Associates

Location: Hybrid (1–2 office days per week) in Reynoldsburg, OH

Duration: February 3, 2025 – April 25, 2025

Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week

Pay: $15-$20/hour depending on experience

Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Sourcing Analyst to join our client's Global Vendor Management team. This role focuses on supporting product launches, managing operational processes, and conducting cost analysis to optimize sourcing decisions. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of vendor management processes and supporting critical business functions for a leading global personal care and home fragrance company.

Key Responsibilities:

Category and Commodity Management:

• Collect, analyze, and validate vendor quotes for new product launches.
• Manage the RFQ (request for quote) process, ensuring timely follow-ups and accurate data collection.
• Track raw material cost adjustments and update internal systems accordingly.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Develop target costs for new products and validate final costs to align with business goals.
• Maintain and extract data from internal systems to support decision-making.
• Prepare and analyze reports related to cost increases and RFQ databases.

Sourcing Execution and Vendor Engagement:

• Assist with new vendor onboarding and maintain comprehensive vendor profiles.
• Participate in tactical discussions with vendors to strengthen relationships and drive performance.
• Monitor and assess vendor capabilities, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
• Track vendor performance using scorecards and execute follow-up actions as needed.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or substantial relevant experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management.
• Previous experience in a sourcing or analytical role is preferred (internship experience acceptable).

Key Skills and Competencies:

• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to perform cost analysis and identify trends.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with business systems.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in reporting.
• Effective collaboration and communication skills for cross-functional teamwork.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to ask clarifying questions when needed.

Work Environment:

• Hybrid schedule, with 1–2 days per week in the Reynoldsburg, OH office.
• Standard working hours are Monday–Friday, 8 AM–5 PM, with some flexibility.
