We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Senior Research Associate to join our service lab team. This individual will play a critical role in generating high-quality spatial transcriptomics data for our clients and troubleshooting technical challenges to ensure project success.
Responsibilities:
Sample Preparation and Assay Execution
· Process diverse biological samples (e.g., FFPE, fresh-frozen tissues) for spatial transcriptomics assays.
· Perform sample preparation, sequencing, and related workflows with precision and adherence to protocols.
Troubleshooting and Optimization
· Diagnose and resolve technical issues arising during sample preparation, assay execution, and data acquisition.
· Collaborate with team members to implement workflow improvements and optimize protocols.
· Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks that could compromise data quality.
Quality Control and Assurance
· Conduct rigorous quality control checks on processed samples, acquired images, and data.
· Analyze metrics to ensure alignment with project requirements and communicate findings to stakeholders.
Client and Team Collaboration
· Communicate project updates, technical findings, and recommendations with clients and internal teams.
· Provide technical expertise to address client-specific challenges and tailor workflows to meet unique project needs.
Documentation and Reporting
· Maintain accurate and detailed records of experimental workflows, troubleshooting efforts, and outcomes.
· Contribute to internal reports, publications, or presentations showcasing service lab capabilities.
Project Management
· Proactively manages client project schedule and communicates updates to all stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
· Master’s degree in Molecular Biology, Genomics, Biochemistry, or related field.
· 5+ years of experience in spatial transcriptomics, genomics, molecular diagnostics or a related area (academic or industry settings).
Technical Skills
· Proficiency in molecular biology techniques, including RNA extraction, isothermal amplification, and molecular probe design.
· Familiarity with tissue handling and histology workflows.
· Experience with large data set analysis pipelines (optional but preferred).
Problem-Solving Abilities
· Strong troubleshooting skills, with a proven ability to identify, investigate, and resolve technical issues independently.
· Creative thinker who can adapt workflows and protocols to challenging samples or experimental conditions.
Soft Skills
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interface with clients and team members.
· Collaborative team player with a proactive and solutions-driven mindset.
Compensation:
