Contract-to-Hire Family Law Attorney
Adams & Martin Group has partnered with a client in Colorado seeking a skilled Contract-to-Hire Family Law Attorney. This role presents an exciting opportunity to grow with a firm that is expanding and offers a supportive work environment.
Responsibilities:
Top Three Things:
- 5+ years' experience with complex/high asset family law cases, with approximately 10 years preferred.
- Court experience is essential.
- Comfortable with billing for time.
Additional Duties:
- Manage cases involving complex and high-asset family law issues.
- Participate actively in court proceedings.
- Maintain accurate billing records, aiming for 1440 billable hours per year.
- Utilize software such as Clio for case management and Westlaw for eDiscovery.
- Work collaboratively with a team that includes a receptionist, legal assistant, paralegal, managing partner, and a fourth-year attorney.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree and active Colorado license required.
- Experience with Colorado state district/county court e-filing (though most e-filing is managed by a legal assistant).
- Proficient in the use of Clio and Westlaw software.
Work Hours:
The firm operates Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM. The attorney will initially work 10-20 hours per week, with the potential to transition to full-time permanent employment.
