REQUIRED – SKILL SET
· 7+ years’ experience
· Effective verbal and written communication skills

· Expertise in patterning and pattern corrections
· Experience with leading/mentoring direct reports

· Ability to navigate unforeseen circumstances.
· Gerber &/or Lectra experience
· Strong understanding of garment structures.
· Proficiency in Excel, outlook, and other Microsoft programs
· Backdrop utilizing Adobe Illustrator
· Associate or bachelor’s degree in Fashion education preferred
RESPONSIBILITIES
Ø Lead fittings for assigned styles; recapping to cross functional teams to confirm all is clear.
· Accurately identify and communicate sample corrections including aesthetics, dimensions, hand feel, functionality, and workmanship.
Ø Own pattern corrections and sample commenting for assigned styles.
· Clearly communicate with factories to ensure product accuracy.
· Collaborate with cross functional teams to provide technical insight into to meeting design intent and margin targets for new silhouettes
· Execute options, mockups, and advise needed revisions to cross functional teams after Design review
· Translate design intent into specification tech packs, including detailed technical sketches, graded measurements, and construction details from development through to production.
· Identify opportunities for cost engineering improvement and maximized fabric utilization.
Ø Navigate multiple development and production cycles/timelines to ensure all technical deadlines are achieved.
Ø Drive problem solving for technical issues and partner with cross functional teams to ensure comments are communicated clearly.
Ø Participate during Design hand-off meeting and provide a POV
· Trouble shoot solutions for and alert management and business associates of high- risk areas, which may impact on production in a timely manner.
· Apply grade rules to all styles. Review graded nests from factories to ensure pattern consistency.
· Maintain established standards, details, and integrity of the product.
· Confirming label and marketing placement instructions for conformance to standards.
Ø Mentor Associate level technical design teammates
Ø Manage pattern library, ensure all patterns are received from factory and organized in the shared drive
Ø Establish blocks, from well performing styles from previous seasons to provide Technical, Merchandising, and Design teams with seasonal fit direction.
