Trustpoint is excited to partner with a boutique woman-owned law firm in their search of a Legal Billing Specialist on a direct hire basis. This onsite role offers a supportive and collaborative work environment. Successful candidates will have 2+ years of experience with billing in a law firm and live a commutable distance from Philadelphia.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and disseminate prebills for attorney review.
- Reviews and verifies accuracy of billing documentation as required.
- Ensure compliance with client-specific billing guidelines and requirements.
- Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals to resolve billing issues and discrepancies.
- Prepare, submit and ensure electronic invoices are processed accurately and efficiently through various e-billing applications.
- Monitor the status of submitted e-bills and manage rejections or reductions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of LEDES billing standards and practices.
- Generate reports and analyses related to billing activities as requested.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in legal billing.
- Strong understanding of LEDES 1998B billing formats and guidelines.
- Proficiency in legal billing software, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
