Our client in Essex County, NJ is looking to hire an experienced Operations Director, experience within the aviation/aerospace sector is preferred, not required. Ground support equipment experience is highly preferred, proven and applicable financial acumen is REQUIRED.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management

• Oversee multi-site operations, ensuring safety and maintenance.
• Align operations with Group strategy, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs.

Team Leadership

• Build and lead empowered, agile teams.
• Support Operations Managers and staff

Safety Leadership

• Maintain a zero-harm safety culture.
• Ensure daily safety for all team members and stakeholders.

Customer Relations

• Maintain positive customer relationships and exceed expectations.
• Support new operation start-ups.

Financial Oversight

• Manage P&L for sites and workshops.
• Implement efficiency improvements and cost-saving initiatives.

Strategic Implementation

Requirements

• Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
• 10-15 years experience as an Operations leader.
• Experience in aviation and aerospace strongly preferred.
• Ability to travel 50%.
• Hands-on, driven entrepreneur with a strategic vision.
• Fluent in English; Spanish proficiency is a plus.
• Strong technical background or interest in aviation and GSE industry.
• Skilled in planning and implementing operational projects.
