About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Manager to oversee and manage our HSE programs in Baledogle, Somalia. This role requires a strategic leader who will ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, foster a culture of safety, and manage HSE personnel at the country level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage company HSE programs, policies, and processes within the assigned Area of Responsibility (AOR).
- Supervise and support assigned HSE personnel, ensuring program effectiveness and compliance.
- Develop, implement, and audit HSE programs to align with company and regulatory standards.
- Oversee incident investigations and conduct in-depth analyses of incidents with potential legal implications.
- Advise management on balancing operational productivity with safety measures for team members, subcontractors, and client personnel.
- Collaborate with client representatives, company HSE personnel, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance and safety best practices.
- Create and manage HSE education, awareness, and training programs to promote a proactive safety culture.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation to meet corporate and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 10–13 years of relevant experience in health, safety, and environmental management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry-specific applications.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to engage at all organizational levels.
- Experience managing HSE programs in challenging environments is preferred.
