Job Description: Hardware System Engineer (Touch Sensor Design & Testing)

Meta is seeking a Hardware Engineer with a background in to join their team in Sunnyvale, CA! This individual will be responsible for smart glass sensor bring-up/ characterization/ validation. This engineer will develop test systems to enable rapid evaluation and testing of sensor sub-systems.

Job Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and test touch sensors for future implementation in Meta Smart Glasses
• Characterize and validate touch, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, Inertial measurement unit for smart wearables.
• Optimize sensor performance based on validation result
• Documenting and presenting test results to engineering teams
• Working with cross-functional teams to assure that sufficient and accurate testing is implemented

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience as a Hardware Engineer, with experience in sensor design and testing
• Experience with various sensors such as capacitive touch sensors and IMU Sensors
• Experience with sensor related algorithms and designing simulations
• Experience with tools such as COMSOL, MATLAB, Python
• Knowledge in I2C/SMBus, UART, SPI, USB, Network stack
• Ability to read schematic
