The Structural Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and testing structural components for refuse truck bodies to ensure durability, efficiency, and safety. This role involves performing finite element analysis (FEA), selecting materials, developing 3D CAD models, and collaborating with manufacturing teams to optimize production feasibility. Key responsibilities include prototype testing, compliance with industry standards, and continuous improvement of structural designs. Candidates should have a bachelors degree in mechanical or structural engineering, at least five years of experience in structural design (preferably in heavy equipment or automotive manufacturing), and proficiency in CAD software, FEA tools, and strain gauge application. The position is based in Booneville, MS, with work split between office, manufacturing, and prototype shop environments, along with occasional travel for field testing or supplier collaboration.
