Our client is seeking a skilled Estimator Design Engineer to join their team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with expertise in mechanical design, cost estimation, and CAD software. The Estimating Manager will be responsible for preparing cost estimates, analyzing project requirements, and collaborating with sales and engineering teams to develop accurate proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review Requests for Quotes (RFQs) and conduct site visits to develop project surveys.
• Prepare and update drawings using AutoCAD .
• Analyze labor, material, equipment, and time requirements through material take-offs of detailed drawings .
• Collaborate with the Corporate Purchasing Department to obtain pricing and create organized cost estimates.
• Present detailed cost estimates by compiling numerical and descriptive data.
• Assist the sales team with new business development .
• Develop layouts that provide precise details for machinery, mechanical tools, and devices.
• Prepare and submit reports as required.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by executive management to ensure project success.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field (Required) .
• 5+ years of Mechanical Design experience (Required) .
• 3+ years of Estimating experience (Required) .
• 2-5 years of CAD experience (Required) (AutoCAD, SolidWorks preferred).
• Experience with Ross ERP and Microsoft Dynamics CRM Software (Preferred) .
• Strong understanding of machining processes, materials, and tolerances .
• Knowledge of CNC programming and machining .
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills .
• Ability to communicate effectively and work both independently and collaboratively.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule , including 40+ hours per week and frequent domestic travel .
