The role youll contribute:

The Advance Registered Nurse Practitioner provides primary care to patients under the auspices of the supervising physician. Provides care and treatment within his/her scope of practice as delineated by his/her education and training.

The value youll bring to the team:

• Provides primary care and treatment to patients under the auspices of the supervising physician
• Assures timely and accurate entries of medical histories, progress notes and treatment recommendations in the patients medical records
• Provides service in accordance with policies and procedures
• Practices within scope of practice as delineated by education and training including, but not limited to:
• Conforms to prescriptive privileges
• Obtains co-signature by the supervising physician on all prescriptions written
• Does not prescribe narcotics
• Refers patients for laboratory, x-ray and specialty care for needed services that cannot be provided at the practice
• Assures that adequate patient health records are maintained and transferred, as required, when patient care is transferred
• Participates with supervising physician in a periodic review of the patients health records.
• Assures all patient management documentation, including pharmaceutical modalities, is outlined in the patients medical record and signed by the supervising physician.

The expertise and experiences youll need to succeed:

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) with a Bachelors degree in nursing
• State of Florida license or compact state licensure as a Registered Nurse and ARNP
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Due to the diversity of care provided, total proficiency will be achieved through the normal work routine over a one year period of employment

Preferred qualifications:

• One (1) or more years experience in a Cardiology setting
