Overview

The Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for leading the strategy and execution of integrated marketing initiatives across direct mail, print, digital marketing, ecommerce, and creative disciplines. This role oversees all marketing campaigns from inception to completion, providing strategic direction to improve the effectiveness of direct mail, web content, advertising (print and digital), and cross-channel campaigns.


This position also focuses on the operational oversight of creative processes and teams, ensuring alignment with the Champion Teamwear brand. The Senior Marketing Manager collaborates closely with key stakeholders to drive customer acquisition, retention, and profitability while ensuring a seamless customer experience. Additionally, this role involves managing marketing budgets and vendor relationships to optimize return on investment.


Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the direct mail strategy and contact plan to optimize ROI for customer acquisition and retention.
  • Oversee planning, development, and execution of the direct mail calendar and related marketing communications, ensuring alignment with broader marketing strategies.
  • Manage cross-channel marketing programs and campaigns that leverage direct mail, email marketing, digital platforms, referral marketing, advertising, social media marketing, and ecommerce operations to enhance customer value and engagement.
  • Provide creative direction for marketing campaigns, translating the vision of the Champion Teamwear brand into dynamic, engaging materials across all touchpoints.
  • Oversee and mentor the creative team, ensuring the delivery of innovative branding and marketing communications that meet business objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Ecommerce, Product Development, Sales) to generate profitable customer acquisition and retention strategies and create a seamless customer experience.
  • Manage the planning, allocation, and reporting of marketing budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities while maximizing impact.
  • Identify and negotiate with external vendors and marketing agencies to deliver high-value marketing material within budget constraints.
  • Lead the ideation, presentation, and execution of branding and marketing communication campaigns, ensuring consistency in creative and communication style across all channels.
  • Collaborate with Analysts to evaluate campaign performance and customer feedback to continually improve messaging, targeting, and overall campaign effectiveness.
  • Partner with the Merchandising Team to ensure accurate product presentation in all marketing campaigns and effectively feature key product benefits that appeal to customer expectations.
  • Oversee and improve processes related to photoshoot/video shoot planning and coordination so that the content created will meet campaign goals.
  • Mentor high-potential employees and provide development opportunities to foster team growth and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Troubleshoot issues during campaign execution, brainstorm innovative solutions, and ensure efficient operations within the marketing department.
  • Lead the Technical Applications team in the creation of digital assets, file prep, and data entry process for all products to be ordered/customized online or in internal systems.


Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • Extensive experience in digital marketing, direct mail, ecommerce management, and creative direction.
  • Proven ability to manage marketing budgets and allocate resources effectively.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess campaign performance and inform strategy.
  • Expertise in marketing tools, ecommerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Magento), and creative software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Exceptional leadership, project management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Superior leadership and collaboration skills.
