Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a Tax Analyst who will prepare and review tax returns, including sales, use, E911, gross receipts, municipal franchise, business license, and similar tax filings. This opportunity is located in Denver, CO!

Duties:

• Maintain accurate tax rules for vendor sales tax payments and use tax accruals in the company’s ERP system
• Monitor taxes on a monthly basis and recommend adjustments, including proposed journal entries
• Conduct state sales and use tax research to ensure compliance with state regulations
• Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of tax filings
• Respond promptly to notices from state and local taxing authorities

Desired Skills/Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in property tax, finance or other state and local tax disciplines
• Strong ability to identify and implement automation opportunities to enhance tax processes
• Knowledge of corporate tax policies and ability to ensure compliance with management directives
• Experience assisting in the development of tax policies aligned with business objectives
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in tax software and ERP systems is a plus
