Investment Internship Co-Op - Winter 2026 - Summer 2026 Are you a business student looking for the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the investment industry? If so, this opportunity is a great way for you to gain real-world investment experience What You'll Do: As our Investments Co-Op Intern, you will assist in the day-to-day management of assets for Farm Bureau Life and P&C companies. Specific tasks and projects will vary based on your interests and skills, as well as business needs. One way you will contribute to the team is through research, input, and guidance on prospective investment opportunities across multiple asset classes. Our internship program holds an 80/10/10 approach, meaning that 80% of your work time will involve performing tasks or working on projects within your hired work area. Another 10% of the time, you will be exposed to learning in other areas within your assigned division to get more corporate experience. Then, the final 10% will be spent on shared experiences across the organization, where you will get to really learn about our culture and work environment. What It Takes to Join our Team: Be a current college student (sophomore, junior or senior status) in a business-related major (accounting, economics, and finance preferred). Have a genuine interest in a career path in the investment/financial markets industry. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel is preferred. Must possess robust analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Capacity to acquire data from internal and external sources, maintain databases/data systems, and organize data for effective analysis. Strong communication skills are required, both written and verbal. Must be a self-starter, take initiative and be highly motivated. Must be available to take the semester off to work full-time (8am-4:30pm Monday through Friday) from January until June in our office in West Des Moines, IA.
