Based in the greater Little Rock, AK area, our multi-billion-dollar client desires an individual to lead a Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) business for this growth-oriented aviation services team. Reporting to a Business Unit executive, the General Manager of this expanding aviation services business will also have profit and loss responsibility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Manage the P&L of the business including operational and sales/service objectives.
· Grow the business unit through increased capabilities, new product lines, and customer relationships while ensuring profitability.
· Develop strategic and execution plans to improve operations, customer satisfaction, cash generation, productivity and return on investment.
· Develop the annual budget and meet the associated commitments
· Accurate, complete, and timely submission of required financial reports, forecasts, quotations, budgets, rates, and analyses.
· Cost effective maintenance, development, and implementation of centralized services, systems, and management tools which support divisional operations and contribute to improved cost, quality, productivity, and a competitive position.
· Provide financial counsel to the executive team, providing necessary coordination with financial, legal, and compliance staff.
· The acquisition and maintenance of skilled staff and resources necessary to meet functional obligations.
· Maintain a safe work environment.
· Responsible for formulating and articulating new business opportunities identified from customer information and problem resolutions.
· Promote the mission, vision, and values to maintain a strong relationship with employees, customers, suppliers, and stockholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
-Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline. Masters or MBA preferred: or 12 years related experience. Aerospace/Aviation MRO experience is required.
-Five to 10 years of related experience in a complex aerospace and/or defense manufacturing environment.
-Excellent knowledge of management and marketing principles, industry practices, company and competitor products, technology, and service capabilities.
-Demonstrated ability to lead people and obtain results through others typically acquired through ten or more years of increasing experience and responsibility including prior leadership.
-Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities using effective problem solving / resolution skills and a team focus.
-Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to effectively and persuasively present information to top management, customers, and employees.
