Job description:
Schedule: M-F 8:00AM - 4:30PM
- The Research Technician supports operations in the Soybean Breeding program in collaboration with local breeding and agronomy teams.
- Performs activities in the greenhouse and field environments including crossing blocks, planting, harvesting, seed processing, and maintenance of seed inventories.
- Collects data at nurseries and field trials.
- Performs activities in the laboratory including collecting leaf samples, manipulation of plant tissues, and setting up experiments according to established protocols.
- Maintains the work environment organized and cleaned.
- Comply with Safety, QMS and Stewardship directives, and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma. Preferred Associate's/Technical degree in Agronomy, Agricultural Sciences, or related fields.
- Experience working in the field and greenhouse is desired.
- Self-sufficient in conducting assigned activities.
- Skilled on Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint.
- Ability to travel domestically.
