Aerotek has an immediate opening for an Instructional Designer (Adult Learner) at the corporate office in Hanover, MD.
OVERVIEW
The Instructional Designer will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing engaging and effective learning solutions that align with our organizational goals. This role requires a creative and analytical thinker who can collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to create high-quality training materials that enhance employee performance and development.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to identify training needs and objectives
- Design and develop engaging and interactive courses and training materials for in-person, virtual, and online learning
- Create instructional materials such as videos, job aids, manuals, and multimedia content
- Support in implementation and management of training programs within the Learning Management System (LMS)
- Conduct needs assessments
- Analyze training effectiveness through evaluations and feedback
- Revise and update training materials based on feedback and changing organizational needs
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in instructional design and corporate training
- Communicate frequently and effectively with various project collaborators to ensure that goals and objectives are being met
- Plan and devise the layout of media for presentation materials
- Collaborate with other organizational departments (e.g., marketing, communications, etc.)
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
- Schedule requirements, in office 4 days and 1 day from home
QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Instructional Design, Adult Education or related field required
Skills and Abilities
- Demonstrated knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theories
- Proficient in eLearning authoring tools preferred (e.g., Articulate Rise, Articulate Storyline)
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS)Ability to build on-line courseware
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated project management and organizational skills
- Research skills to integrate current instructional design trends and validate SME content
- Attention to detail and proven ability to meet deadlines
- Applicable use of multimedia design and development (e.g., video editing, graphic design)
- Proven ability to critically think and assess training effectiveness to make data-driven improvements
- Proficient in in Adobe Creative Suite preferred (e.g., InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat)
Travel Requirements
- Up to 10%; Travel required up to 1-3 times a year
Per Pay Transparency Acts: The range for this position is $70,600 - $106,000 + annual bonus potential of $8,000
