Position Summary :
The Leasing Transactions Manager will be an integral part of the Legal Department’s work in commercial retail leasing and will collaborate with a group of attorneys and internal contacts within the organization. High attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and independent judgment are required to plan, prioritize, and organize a diverse and fast-paced workload.

Duties and Responsibilities of a Leasing Transactions Manager - Duties will include but are not limited to the following:
- Work closely with the Retail Leasing Department and a team of attorneys to prepare, revise, and review drafts of leases, amendments, terminations, letter agreements, and other commercial lease related documents.
- Maintain and update shopping center summaries of pertinent lease provisions (including exclusives, terminations, co-tenancies, pylons, building restrictions, prohibited uses, and rights of first offer).
- Maintain and update, as needed, lease document forms and standard alternative language for lease provisions. This includes spearheading monthly departmental meetings to continuously improve processes and lease provisions.
- Maintain and update quarterly/annual reports to monitor commercial retail leasing activities of the Legal Department and the organization at large.
- Manage the day-to-day duties and responsibilities of a team of other leasing professionals to coordinate the timely processing of lease documents from inception to execution.
- Maintain the integrity and organize internal databases of tenant files.
- Other projects as assigned by supervisor.
Selection Criteria of a Leasing Transactions Manager:
- Bachelor's degree and experience of 5+ years and/or training required that supports the job requirements.
- Previous experience in commercial retail leasing transactions within the legal department of a real estate company or the leasing practice of a law firm.
- Superior organizational skills.
- Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy.
- Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with a wide variety of individuals in person, via teleconference, and in writing.
- Ability to work in a positive and cooperative manner with fellow team members.
- Must possess strong attention to detail in composing, typing, editing, and proofing materials.
- Capability to work in fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and successfully manage multiple competing deadlines.
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks and to accept direction on given assignments.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Suite of tools with the ability to learn and use new software and systems.

The actual base pay offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held. Base pay is one component of B. F. Saul Company & Affiliates total compensation package, which also includes access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, bonus plans and more.
