Job Summary:
The Warehouse Supervisor for the second shift will support Operations management to oversee the management and coordination of warehouse employees according to established policies. This position will follow standard procedures for the efficiency of all warehouse operations duties, and staffing, and maintain an acceptable level to improve the company’s effective and financial performance of the operations.
Job Expectations:
- Oversees warehouse activities in support of operations, including but not limited to, receiving, storing, picking, and shipping materials
- Trains, supervises and evaluates the performance of warehouse associates, assigns duties
- Conducts shift meetings to communicate general information, and address specific topics by engaging warehouse employees
- Ensures inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage
- Keeps equipment operating by enforcing safe operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; requiring preventive maintenance
- Maintains a working knowledge of all operating systems of the work area
- Provides the necessary leadership that is associated with building as well as maintaining a strong workforce
- Manages and coordinates the activities of warehouse employees by providing support to diagnose problems and recognize issues
- Monitors performance, disciplines, and corrective action, for warehouse associates in following safety guidelines and policy and procedures in partnership with Human Resources for guidance
- Responsible for warehouse employee’s work schedules and managing staffing needs
- Effectively manage project scope by ensuring any changes to scope are documented and approved
- Monitor quality of work, and ensure warehouse employees conform to compliance of company policies and procedures
- Completes assigned work efficiently and in an organized manner within an established time frame, works to complete objectives, and sees a task through to the end while taking into consideration current responsibilities and workload
- Demonstrates a high level of professionalism including mutual trust and respect for all company employees
- Manage time and attendance procedures for warehouse employee’s timekeeping recording

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills

- Work experience in a multi-shift operation a plus
- Ability to manage several complex projects simultaneously while working under pressure to meet deadlines

- Good math and technical skills
- Generates ideas and initiates action to seek information to solve problems
- Forklift certification required
- Bilingual – English and Spanish Required
Equipment Knowledge: Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Warehouse Management System (WMS) required, Davinci knowledge preferred.
Experience Requirements: Generally, requires a minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a warehouse or logistics environment. Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience.
Education Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or related field preferred or a combination of education and equivalent work experience.
Judgment/Reasoning Ability: Able to identify, troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly using sound judgment, poise and diplomacy. Ability to use judgment and reasoning skills, and determine when to escalate issues, as required, in a timely manner.
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to sit, walk, use hands and fingers, bend, stoop and reach with hands and arms. Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required and occasionally need to lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. Work Environment: The noise in the work environment is usually moderate. Other factors are:
