The Product Owner will play a key role within the Product Team at an innovative, growing company delivering Software as a Service to First Responders. This position will oversee the development of new features and modules within Operative IQ to ensure that requirements are met, satisfying both business goals and customer expectations.
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced, entrepreneurial Software Product Owner to contribute to the improvement and ongoing development of our software application portfolio and systems integration initiatives. In this role, the Product Owner will work alongside another Product Owner, and closely with internal teams and clients to translate business requirements into actionable user stories and functional requirements. They will be responsible for managing the product backlog, ensuring that the development team has a clear understanding of the tasks at hand, and collaborating closely with the Director of Product Management other members of the Product team to align product vision with execution.
The Product Owner is responsible for ensuring that features are delivered in a timely manner and meet both user and business expectations. This person will interact with our application development team daily to ensure the expected outcomes meet the business requirements of stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
· Always take ownership of your work and have a genuine interest in achieving the best results for the company and our clients.
· Manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring that tasks are well-defined and actionable.
· Collaborate with internal and external clients to define and document product improvements that improve productivity, reduce costs, or generate revenue.
· Translate business requirements and feature concepts into user stories, expected outcomes, and functional requirements that are easily understood by both technical and non-technical teams.
· Collaborate with development teams to ensure that proposed solutions are clearly understood, meet business requirements, and are implemented successfully.
· Work with the UX Designer to develop workflow mockups and business logic objectives.
· Provide thoughtful insight into how potential features or projects may impact current solutions, ensuring no regressions to current products.
· Ensure that user stories and features are prioritized based on their value to the customer and business goals.
· Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders, including developers, business teams, and clients, to keep everyone informed on progress and changes.
· Continually seek areas for personal and professional improvement.

Qualifications:
· 4+ years professional experience managing cloud software products in a business-to-business environment.
· Bachelor's degree in a related field.
· Ability to quickly understand complex problems and recommend solutions.
· Excellent written and verbal communication, leadership, and presentation skills, enabling you to work well with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
· Excellent organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail.
· Possess a positive attitude and service-oriented approach when collaborating with others.
· Motivated by your passion and work to be a self-starter, independently managing your achievements.
