Your Role on the Team
- Manage community and construction schedules, ensuring all activities run smoothly and meet quality standards.
- Work with Division Executives on site and architectural design decisions.
- Oversee external consultants, including architects, civil engineers, landscape architects, and soil engineers.
- Provide weekly progress reports covering trade partner meetings, agency interactions, issue resolutions, and safety updates.
- Develop and manage site budgets.
- Negotiate contracts for consulting services such as architecture, engineering, and landscape design.
- Assist with feasibility studies.
- Handle DRE processing, CC&Rs, and HOA setup, serving as a board member if needed.
- Secure and oversee bond exoneration.
- Manage model complex setup and conditional use permits.
- Support the Operations Department throughout the construction process.
What You’ll Need
- At least 7 years of experience in community development, redevelopment, economic development, or housing (public, private, or non-profit sectors).
- High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree preferred in Urban Design, Planning, Real Estate, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Excellent analytical and writing abilities.
- A valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and motivational skills.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
This role is primarily office-based, with occasional site visits. Offices in Irvine and Valencia.
You should be able to:
- Occasionally bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Use a computer keyboard, calculator, and phone with ease.
