Start date: As Soon as CredentialedDuration: 6 monthsSchedule: 7 on/7 off; 12 hour shifts3 - 4, 24 hour call shifts per 7 days on - covering consults, new admissions, discharges, emergenciesNumber of psychs (MD/DO or MHNP) on unit: Adult inpatient psych has 2 units totaling 37 beds divided between 2 physicians and 2-3 residents, no APPs currentlyNumber of Beds: 37 total adult bedsCensus: Up to 37, typically 30+Average length of stay: 5 - 7 daysNumber of patients rounding on per day: 15 - 18Number of patients admitting per day: Varies widely based upon bed availability, daily discharges, etc. Currently no provider capacity-based caps in placeThere is a consult service averaging around 3 new consults per day plus follow-ups. Also varies widely and no caps in place. We have family practice managing H&P's.
