This is a fully remote role, however, candidates located in the Mid-West are preferred. Travel to markets in region (Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska) required.
Position Overview:
We are searching for a talented Business Development Director – Applied Behavior Analysis to join one of our clients in the Autism Diagnosis space! The Business Development Director is accountable for the development and implementation of revenue generation strategies for Lighthouse Autism Centers, a multi-state leading provider of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy. Since its founding in 2012, Lighthouse Autism Center has provided the highest quality, center-based ABA therapy to children with autism. Working with family outreach coordinators and collaboratively with other Lighthouse Autism Center (LAC) leaders and key stakeholders (including all integrating functions), this individual is responsible for developing markets focused on building referral networks among physician groups, educational institutions, and community affiliations throughout current and new service areas.
Reporting to the Vice President, Growth and Marketing, the primary areas of oversight and leadership will include building relationships to develop pipelines of learners and facilitate intake and enrollment processes. This individual is responsible for overseeing a team including two Family Outreach Managers, and Family Outreach Coordinators. They are responsible for supporting overall company revenue goals through occupancy and growth-related initiatives supported by the intake and enrollment process. The Business Development Director is responsible in creating an environment and culture that enables the organization to fulfill its mission by meeting or exceeding its goals, conveying the mission to all staff, holding staff accountable for performance, motivating staff to improve performance and being responsible for the operation of the department, measurement, assessment and continuous improvement of the department's performance.
Responsibilities :
- Develop short and long-term strategies to grow market awareness of Lighthouse Autism Centers capabilities and service delivery model.
- Develop and execute strategy for building and cultivating physician referral network.
- Manages the Family Outreach Managers to expand outreach activities and drive pipeline growth ensuring high levels of customer service during the intake and enrollment processes.
- Establish and document processes related to intake and enrollment for all service lines.
- Understands the admissions/enrollment processes, ensuring that the marketing and organizational systems are accessible, appropriate, and implemented efficiently.
- Responsible for delivering on waitlist development in support of center occupancy goals.
- Identify software solutions and work collaboratively with the information technology department to ensure tools are implemented to facilitate lead tracking, enrollment forecasting, pipeline visibility and final enrollment.
- Uses CRM for creating, tracking, and monitoring liaison territory management, referrals and activities.
- Coordinate with other departments including Marketing, Insurance and Operations to support waitlist development efforts across all centers.
- This role will also be responsible for ensuring the quality and consistency in all intake and enrollment processes across all services lines of the organization and delivering a superior level of customer service to all prospective learners (patients).
- Enhance reporting metrics and dashboard to measure intake and enrollment performance.
- Provide reporting and presentation to executive teams and board members on business development initiatives.
- Effectively and appropriately communicates financial data and operational indicators to marketing and other relevant staff.
- Understands and manages enrollment processes.
- Assigns territories to family outreach team and realigns as indicated by key performance indicators and organizational growth.
- Drives grassroots efforts as deemed necessary to industry conditions.
- Communicates effectively with referral sources to market and educate services.
- Differentiates Company services from competition.
- Develops marketing collateral and advertises in conjunction with corporate support that meets the needs of the market.
- Plans and coordinates marketing, media coverage, and public relations functions to increase volume.
- Maintain an understanding of current state regulatory requirements and/or payor changes that may affect enrollment. This includes maintaining an awareness of state specific educational support that may impact waitlist growth or the local markets.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university in business, communication, marketing, or similar (Master’s Degree preferred).
- Minimum of 10 years of prior experience working with integrated healthcare systems, preferably behavioral health or ABA organizations in a sales or business development role.
- Successful record of growing revenue by developing and implementing strategies to deliver revenue growth in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment which requires fast decision-making, drive for performance, and results.
- Experience in leading a team focused on generating leads and building a pipeline of individuals and families who need access to healthcare services.
- Ability to interact and report to executive level teams include Board meeting participation
- Competent in technology including Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
