We are seeking an experienced Health Data Analyst to join our team in the Greater Baltimore Area. The ideal candidate will have 8 years of hands-on experience working with healthcare data and proficiency in key tools and technologies, including Snowflake, AWS RDS, SQL, Postgres SQL, and data lakes. This role will be critical in supporting data-driven decision-making within the healthcare domain and ensuring the integrity and analysis of complex health datasets.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze and interpret healthcare data to provide actionable insights and support business decisions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize data solutions that drive healthcare performance improvements.
- Develop and maintain SQL queries, scripts, and dashboards for data extraction, transformation, and reporting from various databases and data lakes.
- Work with AWS RDS and Snowflake environments to manage, store, and process large datasets.
- Manage and optimize data lakes to ensure efficient storage and access to health data across multiple platforms.
- Design and implement data pipelines for extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) healthcare data.
- Provide data visualization and reporting to key stakeholders to support evidence-based decisions.
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of healthcare data used for analysis, reporting, and decision-making.
- Work closely with IT, data engineers, and other healthcare teams to understand data needs and deliver impactful solutions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of healthcare data standards, regulations, and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- 8 years of experience in health data analysis or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in Snowflake, AWS RDS, SQL, and Postgres SQL.
- Experience working with healthcare data, data lakes, and large-scale datasets.
- Advanced knowledge of data analysis, data modeling, and data visualization techniques.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and standards, such as HIPAA, and how they relate to data privacy and security.
- Ability to write complex SQL queries and work with data extraction and transformation tools.
- Proficient in using data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud technologies, especially AWS.
- Familiarity with machine learning or advanced analytics within the healthcare domain.
- Knowledge of data governance and quality assurance processes.
