Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Transportation Supervisor to join their team in the transportation and warehousing industry. The ideal candidate will oversee daily transportation operations, ensure timely delivery of goods, and maintain high standards of customer service. This role requires a proactive leader with strong logistical skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

**Work Schedule will be Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm and Saturdays as needed with opportunity for overtime.

Focus:

• Supervise and coordinate daily transportation activities, ensuring efficient routing and on-time delivery.
• Manage a team of drivers and support staff, providing training, guidance, and performance feedback.
• Monitor and maintain compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Address and resolve customer service inquiries related to transportation services.
• Collaborate with dispatchers and project managers to optimize operations and meet service goals.
• Utilize analytical skills to identify and address logistical challenges, implementing effective solutions.
• Prepare and review transportation reports to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Ensure proper maintenance and inspection of vehicles, adhering to safety and operational standards.

Skill Set:

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, or a related field, OR a minimum of three (3) years of proven experience in a transportation supervisory role.
• Background in customer service, dispatching, or project management is highly desirable, with equivalent combinations of education and experience considered.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities to address complex logistical scenarios.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite or related software tools.
• Familiarity with the local service area or ability to interpret maps effectively.
• Industry knowledge is a plus but not mandatory.
• Bilingual skills are advantageous but not required.
