Job Details The General Superintendent is a high-level construction professional overseeing multiple project field operations, managing all aspects of the build, including safety, scheduling, and financials, from inception to completion. Projects may include bridges, dams, concrete structures, water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, tank foundations, containment ponds, subdivisions, general site and earthwork. Underground Utilities; water, wastewater, sanitary sewer and storm drain utilities and hydro-excavation. Industrial / Energy; refineries, terminals & pipelines, oil & gas, demolition, civil infrastructure, maintenance and process piping.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee daily operations and ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire project teams, including superintendents and field staff.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring clear communication and alignment with stakeholders.
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
- Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to foster trust and partnership.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 10+ years experience managing water infrastructure, underground utilities, and structural concrete projects.
- Proven ability to lead and manage large-scale, complex construction projects with a focus on quality and efficiency.
- Expertise in scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation at a field level.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor teams effectively.
- Commitment to safety and familiarity with industry regulations and standards.
