UESI seeks a leader in providing specialized underwater engineering and maintenance services for the nuclear industry. Position Overview:

We are looking for highly skilled and experienced commercial divers with a background in nuclear facility maintenance and underwater construction. Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years of professional diving experience, including work in nuclear environments or similar high-stakes industries. Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform underwater inspections, repairs, and installations, including traveling water screens, trash racks, and other critical infrastructure.
  • Conduct high-pressure cleaning and preventative maintenance of nuclear power plant intake and cooling structures.
  • Execute underwater welding, burning, dredging, and jetting tasks.
  • Conduct video and photographic inspections, including potable water and sewage system diving.
  • Operate and maintain air systems, compressors, umbilical’s, and other diving equipment.
  • Perform non-destructive testing (NDE), coatings inspection, and job hazard analysis as required.
  • Work in dark water, high-current, and confined-space environments, using hot water diving systems when necessary.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time, safely, and in compliance with all applicable standards.


Required Qualifications and Certifications:

  • ADC Surface-Supplied Diver Certification
  • ASNT SNT-TC-1A/CP-189 Certified Level II UT (Straight Beam)
  • AWS 1-4G Welding Certification
  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification
  • Crosby Rigging and NCCER Rigging Specialist Certifications
  • PADI Open Water, Advanced, and Nitrox Diving Certifications
  • Valid First Aid, O2, and CPR Certifications


Preferred Experience:

  • Nuclear plant maintenance, inspection, and repair projects (experience with specific nuclear facilities is a plus).
  • Advanced diving techniques such as tunnel boring machine diving, salvage operations, and underwater video inspections.
  • Operation of heavy equipment such as excavators, dozers, forklifts, skid steers, and cranes.
  • Air lifting, jetting, dredging, and other underwater construction activities.
