Looking for a Results Oriented and Talented Sales Manager in the IT Industry

QUALIFICATIONS:

People skills, and “sales” charisma are a must. Our market is tough, and we need a champion.

Must have proven sales decision-making, solid oral and written communication skills, as well as experience. Background in the technology sector is a plus but not required. Independent, responsible, mature, and flexible.

Must be able to use solid, persuasive arguments to sell MSP (Managed IT Support) contracts and plans to prospective customers, B2B. Our typical customer is a 10-70 computer users company in the Portland Metro area + Oregon Coast. 

Must fit into the company culture of mutual respect, support, and trust.


JOB DESCRIPTION:

The MSP (managed IT Support Provider) Sales Manager is responsible for identifying new business opportunities in the small and medium business market. Main duties:

1.      provides sales results (first-time appointments and closures)

2.      prepares clean prospect lists (with the support of the Marketing department)

3.      runs sales campaigns that include cold and warm calling to influence prospects to purchase ATS products and services

4.      follows scripts where appropriate

5.      works in a close partnership with the Marketing department and has a dotted line of reporting to the Director of Marketing

 

Responsibilities:

1.       sales presentations

2.       discovery calls, negotiation calls, and closure presentations (together with the CEO)

3.       IT scan (with the help of IT team) and creating quotes and technology service proposals

4.       scheduling appointments/follow-up activities

5.       must close new sales, as agreed

6.       actively seeking out and engaging prospects to sell MSP Plans via cold calling, warm calling, marketing/sales campaigns, networking, presenting webinars/seminars, and other campaigns, following prospecting expectations guidelines, with the support of the Marketing department

7.    assuring the quality of historical records by maintaining records via CRM or Excel sheets

9.     developing successful networking circles for expanding the ATS database: Meetup, professional associations, etc.

10.   performing cost-benefit analyses of potential customers

11.   creating (with the assistance from other ATS team members) and presenting seminars and webinars to prospects (organizational details of the events, space, and paperwork is covered by Marketing)

12.   continuously updating prospect records in CRM, full scrubbing when running into incomplete or expired information (with the support of Marketing)

13.   using existing promotional items, white papers, and literature materials to use in sales

14.   adjusting the content of sales presentations by studying the type of verticals ATS serves or based on current market requirements; recommending changes in products, service, and policy by tracking and evaluating results and competitive developments

15.   using Company VOIP phone for all calls 

16.   submitting activity and results reports, such as weekly call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual sales results analyses, learning to run automated reports out of CRM in order to save time and minimize manual reporting

17.   using scheduling software (Appointment Core, Bookings, or similar) in conjunction with a CRM, in a synced fashion

18.   obtaining and maintaining sufficient technical knowledge about ATS products

19.   contributing to marketing team efforts by sharing expertise, and knowledge of the industry and providing any requested guidance or opinion

·       Ability to use solid, persuasive arguments to engage prospective customers

·       Solid face-to-face presentation skills and group presentation skills

·       Ability to listen well and the ability to create sales opportunities

·       Interest in improving sales skills and knowledge of the MSP line of business

·       Prospecting and Closing skills

·       Sense of optimism, ability to instill a sense of optimism in others

·       Presents themselves professionally (dress code, professional personal appearance, etc)

Technical and Computer Skills:

·       CRM skills

·       Must believe and understand, and continue learning the basics of ATS product

·       Grasp of basic concepts of technology

·       Must have solid Internet search and strong data analysis skills

·       Proficiency in using a computer and strong Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word skills

with at least 40 words per minute data entry skills

·       Excellent attention to detail
