Position Summary

The Receptionist will attend to front desk duties as a receptionist to Tustin Ranch Corps and Orange County Coordination during office hours.

Essential Functions

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the front desk is attended during scheduled work hours (Monday through Friday).
  • Receive and direct all phone calls professionally to the appropriate person or department.
  • Provide a professional and welcoming atmosphere to enhance the quality of service and care.
  • Open and sort daily packages and mail in communication with the different programs onsite.
  • Assist with basic office tasks, including filing, reports, and general administrative support.
  • Order supplies and maintain adequate stock if applicable.
  • Monitor building activities for compliance with health guidelines and ensure PPE supplies are available.
  • Manage and maintain the building's calendar in collaboration with the different programs onsite.
  • Reconcile corporate credit card expenses in a timely manner for approved purchases if applicable.
  • Support occasional programmatic needs, such as assisting with room setup or light coordination of volunteers for events
  • Perform other assignments/duties as directed.

Working Conditions

Ability to walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist on an intermittent or sometimes continuous basis. Ability to grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, and reach overhead. Ability to operate computer, fax and telephone. Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be a high school graduate.
  • 2-3 years of administrative aide experience
  • Valid California driver's license
  • Attention to detail, quality and professionalism

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • Driving Test and clean MVR check (if applicable).
  • A criminal background check is required with certification for Protect the Mission policies and procedures.
  • Must have ability to work with, direct, and relate well with co-workers, community members, and guests/clients.
  • Ability to prioritize work and multi-task simultaneous projects.
  • Type 60 wpm.

Must possess good relationship skills.

Abide by Salvation Army Policies and Procedures and have an acceptance of Salvation Army philosophy and mission.
