Position Overview

The Arizona Department of Veterans' Services is seeking a dedicated professional to provide high-quality geriatric care at the Arizona State Veteran Home in Phoenix. This vibrant city offers a warm climate, a rich cultural scene, and a welcoming community, making it an ideal place to live and work. You will assist with nursing care, treatment, and services for geriatric residents while ensuring a safe and hygienic environment. If selected as the charge nurse, you will oversee licensed staff and CNAs on the unit.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide nursing care for geriatric residents, including administering treatments and medications
* Observe and assess residents' physical and behavioral conditions
* Oversee and train staff in resident care and assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
* Lead and participate in the development of care plans
* Follow and implement Arizona Management System (AMS) for continuous improvement
* Maintain appropriate clinical documentation and reports

Required Skills
* 2 years of experience in Skilled Nursing Facilities, Long-Term Care, or Geriatrics
* Strong ability to assess resident needs and deliver quality care
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Education & Licensing
* Current or temporary LPN license in the State of Arizona

Additional Information
* Fingerprint Clearance Card (FPCC) required
* CPR/BLS Certification
* TB Skin Test (within six months)
* Hepatitis B vaccination or declination
* COVID vaccine with booster (exemption available for Phoenix location)
* 7-year background check and drug screening

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45.00 - $46.00 per hour
