ERA ED, a division of The Stepping Stones Group, is hiring immediately for part-time and full-time Mental Health Associates (MHAs) in Long Beach, CA, and the surrounding areas. This role offers scheduling flexibility and the chance to accrue child, adolescent, and family hours essential for your licensure (LCSWs, LPCCs, LMFTs). The work is a blend of home and school settings, providing an opportunity to establish connections with school districts and gain practical experience with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). As part of the role, you'll actively engage in IEP meetings and collaborate with professionals who share similar goals. We also provide individual and group supervision hours led by experienced mentors committed to supporting your professional development.

We also offer a comprehensive Mental Health Training program—a year-long curriculum covering psychopathology and DSM diagnosis, evidence-based treatments, crisis management, and legal/ethical considerations.

Pay: $27.50 - $32.50 per hour

Job Duties
Provide comprehensive wraparound services to children/adolescents/families with various diagnostic presentations (i.e., Mood, Anxiety, Trauma, Neurodevelopmental Disorders)
Individual & Family counseling utilizing evidence-based treatments
Collaborate with IEP team members including consulting IEP services
Maintain administrative oversight of client paperwork, collateral consults, and documentation and caseload management
Option to provide community-based counseling/psychotherapy to individuals, couples, and families with an emphasis on evidence-based practices

Requirements
Must be available Monday to Friday, ideally able to commit 20 hours per week
Master's Degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field
Registered Associate (AMFT, ACSW, APCC) with BBS current or in process
Clinical experience with children and/or adolescents preferred
School-based service experience preferred
Valid CA driver's license and reliable transportation

Mental Health Associates participate in the Mental Health Training Program within ERA ED and its non-profit subsidiary, CAUSE, Inc. The Mental Health Training Program commences each school year between August 1st and extends to July 31st with possibility of extension to the following year; Mental Health Associates are expected to participate in the training year in its entirety (the full school year). Mental Health Associates will receive Supervised Professional Experience in accordance with regulations set forth by the Board of Behavioral Sciences.
