We are a rapidly growing consumer packaged goods (CPG) company specializing in innovative and better-for-you candy products. As we continue our growth journey, we are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Commercialization Manager to join our team and bring our product ideas to life.
What You Will Do
The Commercialization Manager will be the driving force behind new product development (NPD) projects, ensuring seamless execution from concept to commercial launch. This role requires close collaboration with third-party product development teams, co-manufacturers, the internal leadership team, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with company goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CPG product development, project management, and commercialization processes.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the end-to-end commercialization process for new products, from concept approval through to market launch.
- Develop and maintain project timelines, ensuring milestones are met and risks are mitigated proactively.
- Coordinate cross-functional team activities, including marketing, R&D, supply chain, and sales, to ensure alignment and clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Serve as the primary liaison with third-party product development groups and co-manufacturers, ensuring alignment on project goals, specifications, and deliverables.
- Oversee product trials, pilot runs, and production start-ups to guarantee that product quality and performance standards are met.
- Negotiate and manage deliverables with co-manufacturers to optimize production timelines and costs.
- Work closely with the leadership team to align new product initiatives with the company's strategic priorities and market opportunities.
- Act as the commercialization subject matter expert, providing regular updates and reporting on project status, risks, and opportunities.
- Ensure all products meet regulatory, quality, and compliance standards for the food industry.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to finalize product formulations, packaging specifications, and manufacturing protocols.
- Conduct post-launch evaluations to assess project outcomes and identify areas for improvement.
- Manage commercialization budgets, ensuring projects are executed within financial parameters.
- Identify and secure necessary resources, including vendor support and internal team contributions, to achieve project success.

Qualifications: - 5+ years of experience in commercialization, product development, or project management within the CPG industry, preferably in food or confections.
- Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Proven track record of successfully launching new products, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and working within tight deadlines.
- Strong knowledge of CPG manufacturing processes, packaging development, and supply chain operations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across teams and levels.
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies.
