Palm Tran, Inc., the public transit provider for Palm Beach County, is seeking a seasoned Chief Operations Officer (COO) to lead its Transportation Operations. This senior-level executive position involves high-level managerial responsibilities, including directing, coordinating, and overseeing the activities of multiple specialized sections. Each section comprises professional staff and skilled technicians engaged in a wide range of infrastructure operations and maintenance, including: Fixed Route Operations, Paratransit, Maintenance & Facilities, and Safety Training and Security. Oversees and coordinates a multi-faceted team focused on improving awareness of existing transportation options, including identifying partnering opportunities with community groups and organizations to leverage ideas and resources. Responsibilities include service delivery and improvement, safety, security and operational oversight, communication and engagement, federal and state compliance, risk management compliance and mitigation, policy/procedure oversight and creation, labor relations, emergency preparedness, and training oversight. Other responsibilities include analyzing and developing plans for transportation facilities to improve amenities, joint development opportunities, and connectivity to other modes. Represents Palm Tran at public hearings and meetings, advisory boards and committees, other governmental agencies, and with the public.
