Responsibilities:
Wade S. Anderson & Associates, insurance staff counsel for State Farm Insurance Companies, is seeking an experienced paralegal to join the Birmingham, Alabama office. Qualified candidates will have the ability to work independently, prioritize workload, multi-task in a fast pace and time sensitive environment, and communicate effectively. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to supporting two attorneys with discovery, medical record collection and summaries, witness disclosures, expert witness and trial preparation.
Located in Birmingham, AL, we enjoy an active and busy civil trial practice. We provide a congenial, team-oriented professional work environment with skilled support staff. Our employees are currently working in a virtual environment.

Qualifications:
- Prior litigation or paralegal experience, paralegal degree/certificate/certification, medical training, or relevant coursework or legal studies degree is required
- 5+ years of recent experience in personal injury practice preferably in insurance defense litigation experience
- Knowledge and familiarity of Alabamas discovery and litigation process
- Experience in medical records/billing summarization and knowledge of liens and medical terminology
- Legal writing and research skills
- Strong automation/technical skills including trial presentation technology, for lawsuit handling and courtroom presentation
