About the Role As a
Construction & Maintenance Lift Station Supervisor , you will oversee the City's wastewater collection infrastructure, including 47 sewer lift stations, high-priority aerial lines and siphons, force main air valves, and right-of-way mowing operations.
You will also manage a team of 25 maintenance personnel and one Field Supervisor while ensuring compliance with the City's wastewater collection permit and promoting safety within the team.
Compensation and Benefits: Hiring Salary Range : $69,858.00 - $79,838.00
Full Salary Range : $60,677.00 - $108,580.00

Your Key Responsibilities: - Operational Oversight: Supervise the operation and maintenance of sewer lift stations, force main air valves, aerial lines, siphons, and construction equipment.
- Leadership & Coordination: Establish work priorities, evaluate procedures, and allocate personnel and equipment to meet operational goals.
- Regulatory Compliance: Act as the Operator in Responsible Charge (ORC) for the City's sewer collection system, ensuring adherence to permit requirements and safety standards.
- Administrative Duties: Perform routine administrative tasks, including preparing maintenance work orders, managing emails, updating calendars, and maintaining emergency contact lists.
- Safety Promotion: Identify safety hazards, coordinate safety training, and ensure compliance with OSHA standards.
- Equipment & Process Evaluation: Monitor the performance of process and pumping equipment, coordinate necessary maintenance, and provide technical input for capital projects.
- Team Collaboration: Participate in project teams for location-specific research and improvements, ensuring seamless project execution.

- or GED with 4 to 6 years of related experience
- Valid Driver's License
- 4+ years of directly related experience in wastewater collection infrastructure, operation and maintenance of sewer lift stations, and/or related experience.
- Grade 4 NC WPC Coll System Operator
Preferred Qualifications: - 5 years supervisory experience in Construction & Maintenance
- System Back-up ORC experience
- Knowledge of CityPersonnel Policies
