Beverage Technician at US Foods, Inc. summary:

The Beverage Technician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing beverage equipment for clients, ensuring optimal functionality and customer satisfaction. This role requires proficiency in electricity, plumbing, refrigeration systems, and mechanical skills, as well as the ability to manage inventory of equipment parts. Schedule: Monday - Friday. Start time by 8am
Typically 50 hr. work week (including drive time)

$27 - $31 per hour (based on experience)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Install new and replacement beverage equipment for new and existing customers

  • Provide routine and ad-hoc maintenance, repair, cleaning and sanitation of beverage equipment for assigned customers

  • Maintain an adequate inventory of all beverage equipment parts – responsible for tracking, maintaining and ordering inventory

  • Partner with customer and sales associate to ensure USF products are being utilized in beverage equipment

SUPERVISION:

  • None

RELATIONSHIPS

  • Internal: Works closely with sales and operations

  • External: Works closely with vendors and customers

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Hybrid: This role is partially remote, and the associate is expected to perform assigned responsibilities from a combined home-based and office-based environment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Two years of experience installing and servicing commercial beverage equipment

  • Working knowledge of electricity

  • Working knowledge of plumbing

  • Working knowledge of refrigeration systems

  • Demonstrated mechanical skills

  • Ability to operate effectively/efficiently in a fast-paced, unsupervised environment

  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment (i.e. forklift, pallet jack, cherry picker, etc.)

  • Must have good driving record

EDUCATION

  • High School Diploma or GED

PHYSICAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Requires the ability to lift a minimum of 60 lbs

  • Must be able to perform the following physical activities for described length of time.

Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors as applicable by law.  The expected base rate for this role is between $18 and $28 hr.

This role will also receive overtime compensation.?
