Job Details
- General job duties include assessing patients for appropriate respiratory therapy, performing and analyzing arterial blood gases, performing EKG's, managing Bipap and CPAP, administering small volume nebulization, performing ezpap, utilizing mucus clearance devices, and working with all age groups including newborn, pediatric, adult, and geriatric.
- Equipment utilized includes Cerner computerized charting, Accudose medication dispensing system, V60 bipap, vision bipap, Vapotherm, Servio I ventilator, and biflex home cpap units.
- Good communication and collaborative skills are required.
Job Requirements
- Associate degree (A.S.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school is required.
- Indiana State Respiratory Care Practitioner License is required.
- Certification by the National Board for Respiratory Care (CRT) is required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
- 2 years minimum experience is required.
Schedule Information
- Night shift from 7pm to 7am.
- Therapists do not work alone; 3-4 RT's per shift.
- No on-call required; every other weekend rotation.
Additional Details
- Candidate must specify any required time off during the assignment.
- Candidate must indicate if they have ever worked at or applied to Columbus Regional.
- Active CRT or RRT is required.
- Active AHA BLS is required or must be obtained before start.
- Active AHA ACLS is preferred or must be obtained before start.
