Responsibilities
- Provide emergency care in a busy ED setting.
- Manage a variety of urgent care cases and trauma situations.
- Work closely with APPs, nurses, and techs for comprehensive patient care.
- Utilize Cerner as the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
- Perform medical procedures as needed, including:
- Suturing minor lacerations
- Incision and drainage
- Chest tube insertion
- Central and arterial line placement
- Ventilation management and airway management
- Diagnostic procedures like lumbar punctures and paracentesis
Requirements
- Board Certified in Emergency Medicine (No exceptions for BE).
- Michigan State License (Required at the time of name clear, no IMLC).
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required.
- At least 2+ years of recent ED experience.
