Position Overview:
- Location: Near Pacifica, CA
- Start Date: ASAP (as soon as credentialed)
- End Date: Ongoing (initial assignment through January 2025, possibly extended through April 2025)
- Shift Type: Days
- Schedule: 3 days per week, 8 AM - 5 PM (flexible on which days)
- Call Coverage: Light call coverage with typically 1-5 calls per month, primarily for existing patients
Assignment Details:
- Setting: Clinic-based with some after-hours call coverage for current patients
- FTE: 0.6 (Part-Time)
- Support Staff: Medical Assistant (MA), Medical Office Receptionist (MOR), Supervisor, Manager, Director
- Patients per Day: 13-15
- Duties:
- Direct patient care for both follow-ups and new patients
- Visit documentation, message management, and prescription refills
- Performing thyroid biopsies (required)
- Required Procedures: Thyroid Ultrasound (performed at the providers discretion)
- EMR System: Cerner
Requirements:
- Board Certification: Must be board-certified in Endocrinology.
- Certifications: BLS certification required.
- State License: Must hold an active California state license.
- Privileges: Emergency/temporary privileges are not available for this position.
