Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Project Control Specialist to join our team and support critical utility and renewable energy projects. The ideal candidate will bring a mix of individual expertise and collaborative problem-solving skills , working closely with project managers and team members to ensure the success of our projects. This position involves budgeting, forecasting, accruals, and related project management tasks within a highly supportive and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with project managers and team members to develop and manage project budgets, forecasts, and accruals.
  • Utilize SAP (ECC module) and Oracle EPM for budgeting and project management tasks.
  • Participate in monthly cycles to ensure timely and accurate month-end reporting .
  • Troubleshoot issues and resolve unique project challenges through strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Foster collaboration within the team by sharing knowledge and best practices.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including those without a technical background, to ensure alignment and clarity.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8–10 years of experience in project controls, cost analysis , or similar roles with demonstrated expertise in approvals, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Strong Excel skills for data management and reporting.
  • Experience in the construction industry is required; experience in utilities or renewables is strongly preferred.
  • Familiarity with corporate-level environments and exposure to financial analysis .
  • Solid understanding of project management principles and tools.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in utility or renewable energy projects is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of construction accounting and its nuances compared to commercial accounting.
  • Proven experience in fostering collaboration and troubleshooting within a team.
  • Exceptional communication and self-initiative in seeking and gathering information.

Non-Technical Skills:

  • Effective problem-solving abilities to address unique project scenarios.
  • Excellent communication skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently when required.
