We are seeking a Senior Manager of Marketing who will report to the Director of Marketing, Paper Sales. You will be part of a high-impact team consisting of marketing experts who will focus on our business's strategic areas. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in strategic marketing and the broader packaging landscape.As a leader in the paper and packaging industry, Smurfit Westrock works across various industry markets with the world’s largest brands, emerging brands, and packaging converters. Paper Sales supplies both internal and external customers globally with the differentiated packaging materials needed to win. With a holistic portfolio of paperboard substrates, including SBS, CNK, UUK, & CRB, Paper Sales participates in a broad range of markets including food, food service, beverage, commercial print, liquid packaging, and tobacco.The packaging industry continues to evolve to meet the needs of brand owners, retail channels, legislation, and consumers. Your role will be responsible for advancing our Paper Sales strategy and segment-level opportunities to maximize organic growth, profitability, flexibility, and operational efficiency. Your primary focus area will be supporting the CNK, UUK, and CRB paperboard portfolios.Responsibilities: Work with key stakeholders, including Commercial, Strategy, Operations, and Technical teams to lead the development/launch of growth and demand generation strategies.Work with cross-functional partners to establish effective commercial enablement tools, training programs, tradeshow exhibits, and campaigns to support a strategic selling process.Mine and leverage market insights, competitive dynamics, and VOC to proactively identify and develop strategies for realized and unrealized business opportunities.Develop business case analysis that includes addressable market, competitive review, operational implications, financial modeling, and growth projections.Create quantified value propositions and differentiated positioning strategies for assigned areas of the paperboard product portfolio.Connect supply, demand, capacity, and pricing dynamics to formulate ongoing assessment of market conditions, implications, and recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.Partner with our Market Intelligence team to conduct market research and insight work to elevate customer engagements and portfolio initiatives.Partner with Innovation and R&D to identify, quantify, and activate early-stage innovation platform development opportunities.Collaborate with cross-functional teams from R&D, Operations, Innovation, and Commercial to accelerate and commercialize innovation pipeline projects.Work closely with Innovation & R&D to identify product development opportunities that fill the innovation funnel to open up adjacencies in new markets and customer groups.Partner with cross-functional teams regularly to ensure alignment on prioritization, progress, challenges, and opportunities.Drive a strong bias for action with the team and partner with stakeholders to ensure speed, efficiency, and effectiveness in Paper Sales agenda execution.Qualifications Highly capable in each of the following dimensions (among others): flexibility, adaptability, curiosity, resourcefulness, analytical thinking/problem-solving, proactivity, collaboration, and technological savvy.5+ years of strategic marketing/product marketing experience - working in cross-functional team environments.Bachelor’s degree in a related field, MBA desired.Strong analytical skills and ability to simplify the complex for a variety of internal and external audiences.Superior project management and interpersonal skills.Passionate about identifying/building strategies and business opportunities that solve customer and business problems.Ability to maintain a keen attention to detail, multitask, and prioritize time to maximize results.Team player who can build trust with internal and external stakeholders through a spirit of collaboration and partnership.Passion to win with customers and drive initiatives that differentiate Smurfit Westrock in the marketplace.#J-18808-Ljbffr
