Summary
The Marketing Manager for Truth Traveler in Pigeon Forge, TN, is responsible for driving local marketing efforts and establishing partnerships to elevate the attraction's visibility in the region. This role involves seeking local marketing opportunities, building relationships with other attractions and local businesses, representing Truth Traveler with city officials (e.g., Chamber of Commerce), and working with event centers to promote the attraction, especially at faith-based conferences and events. Additionally, the Marketing Manager will work closely with an external marketing agency, aligning local efforts with broader branding and marketing initiatives to ensure strategic cohesion and consistency. This position will embody our Core Values of SERVE and support the Truth Traveler mission and the larger ministry of Answers in Genesis in a God-honoring manner.

Responsibilities
  • Promote the mission and standards of Answers in Genesis.
  • Create a SERVE culture environment in all work done.
  • Approach all tasks with a second mile mindset.
  • Prioritize personal integrity in all interactions and assignments.
  • Oversee and promote the spiritual, personal, and professional development of all team members being led.
  • Work closely with the General Manager to help identify and implement local marketing opportunities and partnerships with neighboring attractions, businesses, and local organizations.
  • Build positive relationships with city officials and actively participate in community networking, such as chamber of commerce meetings.
  • Coordinate with local churches, event centers and event planners to promote Truth Traveler at regional gatherings, with a particular focus on faith-based conferences.
  • Collaborate closely with the external marketing agency to align local marketing efforts with larger, strategic branding initiatives.
  • Manage and track local marketing budgets, maintain accurate records, and ensure budget adherence.
  • Represent Truth Traveler's marketing initiatives in regional meetings and partnerships.
  • Track and report on campaign performance using KPIs, and adjust plans as necessary to maximize local impact.
  • Oversee the creation, placement, and updating of marketing materials, including signage, brochures, and rack cards at the attraction.
  • Obtain necessary approvals for marketing materials and coordinate production timelines.
  • Assist with the implementation of digital and traditional marketing campaigns, including digital ads, print assets, and local outreach.
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Truth Traveler staff and key stakeholders to align marketing efforts with the attraction's mission and goals.
  • Complete other duties as assigned by the General Manager.

  • Proven ability to meet deadlines, adapt to changing priorities, and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to engage local partners, businesses, and event planners.
  • Effective communication with technical and non-technical team members in a Christ-centered, tactful manner.
  • Excellent organization, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of web analytics tools (Google Analytics) and a basic understanding of design or copywriting (preferred).
  • Must align with and sign the AiG Statement of Faith, maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and regularly attend a local Bible-believing church.
  • Some local travel is required within the Pigeon Forge area & occasionally beyond as needed.
Education & Experience
  • 4+ years of project or marketing management experience, preferably within a themed attraction or tourism setting.
  • 2+ years managing marketing campaigns and local partnerships.
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience in marketing within the tourism or attractions industry preferred.
