Summary:
The Living Well Grocery Stocker is first and foremost responsible for guest relations and satisfaction. Guest service includes answering questions, directing guests to products, proactive selling, cross-selling products, and providing information and education. He/She is responsible along with the Living Well Grocery Manager for all the products and activities of the designated Living Well department including ordering, stocking, merchandising and keeping the department clean.
Key Responsibilities:
- When a guest enters my area or department, my first and most important responsibility becomes to acknowledge, greet, and engage that guest.
- Ensures shelves are clean and rotated
- Works with the Living Well Grocery manager to ensure that all products are properly merchandised and displayed.
- Ensures correct pricing of products.
- Performs stocking duties including; lifting, stocking product, blocking, facing, dusting, and ordering.
- Must be attentive at all times to needs of guests and be ready and able to direct/take guest to items in question.
- Keeps the back stock area organized.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Key Requirements:
- Retail experiences a plus.
- Ability to work at fast-paced, but efficient and controlled manner.
- Ability to perform all physical aspects of stocker duties, including but not limited to bending lifting, squatting, climbing, walking and at times running.
- Ability to operate all ordering and backroom equipment, including a box baler, and safety cutter.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
- Work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits and attitude.
- Ability to function as a team member and get along with others.
