Summary
The Customer Service Representative provides exceptional customer service and supports the Solid Waste business office in day-to day activities. Handles a variety of administrative tasks, including processing requests by phone and email for a high-volume office.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs clerical and customer services duties including answering telephone and handling requests for service
- Interacts with customers and visitors by phone, email, and in-person
- Monitors vehicles as they enter the scale to be weighed
- Enters daily data for productivity reports, scale/weight tickets and landfill costs
- Communicates customer requests and concerns with the business office, field operations, and office staff
- Monitors new customer accounts to verify billing code; contacts customers to verify the number of containers and creates work orders for new sets and / or pickups
- Performs receptionist duties such as scheduling, filing, and data entry for billing and reporting
- Prepares reports and records as assigned
- Composes correspondence and mail for general code violations and customer compliance
- Follows policy, procedures, and safety guidelines
- Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent
- One year of customer service experience
Preferred Qualifications - Experience with Microsoft Office
