Psychiatric - Mental Health Physician at Summit Recruiting Group summary:

The position is for a full-time Psychiatric-Mental Health Physician in an inpatient adult psychiatry program in Mesa, AZ. The psychiatrist will manage a caseload of 9-10 seriously mentally ill patients with an average length of stay of 22 days, collaborate with a psychiatric nurse practitioner, and teach rotating medical students. Candidates must be Board certified or in the process of certification, possess an Arizona medical license, and enjoy working in a collaborative and educational environment.

Inpatient Adult Psychiatry Opening in Mesa, AZ About the Opening - Location: Mesa, AZ- Full-time, permanent- Seeking an inpatient Attending Psychiatrist for our adult inpatient program- The ideal candidate must enjoy working with hospitalized, seriously mentally ill patients- Caseload is 9-10 patients, with an average length of stay of 22 days- Most patients are involuntary.- This position includes faculty appointment (for eligible candidates)- Duties include collaboration with a psychiatric nurse practitioner and teaching of rotating medical students- This is a full-time position with all benefits, including four weeks of paid time off, one week of CME (with an annual CME allowance of $4,000), ten paid holidays, retirement plan and employer paid malpractice coverage. - Candidates must be Board certified or in the process of Board certification and must possess an Arizona medical license prior to beginning employment. Additional Information: - The medical group has 3 inpatient psychiatric hospitals. 2 of which are teaching facilities for Psychiatry residents - these hospitals are staffed with psychiatrists and residents (no APPs). The 3rd facility has medical students - it is staffed with 50% Psychiatrists 50% APPs.- Candidates must have an M. D. or D.O. degree, valid Arizona medical license (or eligible to obtain), and be Board Certified or Board Eligible.- The medical group offers an outstanding work environment, competitive compensation plan/benefits package, paid time off, CME allowance with paid time off and employer paid malpractice insurance.- Medical group is a not-for-profit faculty practice consisting of more than 400 providers who represent all the major medical and surgical specialties and sub-specialties. - FQHC- It is the academic faculty practice plan affiliated with the area's most comprehensive teaching hospital and medical center
