The Controls & IT Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of manufacturing control systems and IT infrastructure to support production operations. They ensure compliance with established standard operating procedures while providing technical support for both hardware and software systems. This role also involves collaboration with various teams and external contractors for project implementation and equipment validation.
Position Title: Control & IT Technician Job Profile: Support_02_Information Technology_Service Management Job Description 1. Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and maintenance Manufacturing Control Systems, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), field instrumentation, variable frequency drives, communication network systems, and HMI computer workstations in accordance with industry standards. 2. Review operator manuals, PI&D diagrams, mechanical and electrical drawings, and other established SOPs; ensures equipment and control systems are operated in accordance with established SOPs. 3. Support CSL manufacturing, Maintenance, and Facility teams to maintain the production and utility system running. 4. Support other CSL groups as well as outside contractors, consultants, and regulatory agencies in the new project development, installation, startup, and validation. 5. Responds to inquiries related to desktop/laptop computers, applications, phones, hardware, and printers. Maintains and updates records and tracking databases to record inquiries and resolution activities 6. May address services such as file sharing, VPN support, and phone/voicemail system administration 7. May provide training and documentation of control systems, computer and printer operations and standard procedures 8. Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
