The Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of two thermoforming manufacturing plants in southern MA, focusing on driving operational performance, improving manufacturing processes, and ensuring safety compliance. This role requires strong leadership, collaboration across teams, and the ability to implement continuous improvement initiatives while aligning with company goals and values. Description Prioritize and exemplify safety in all operations, setting the standard for the organization. Oversee and manage manufacturing teams, including Production, Quality, Material Handling, Scheduling, Environmental Health & Safety, and Maintenance. Collaborate with Human Resources, Accounting, and Purchasing teams to ensure clear communication of goals and alignment with manufacturing needs. Ensure compliance with SQF (Safe Quality Food) standards and lead the organization through audit processes. Monitor that all materials adhere to product stewardship guidelines. Guarantee compliance with safety and environmental policies in accordance with OSHA, EPA, and local, state, and federal regulations. Implement systems for tracking production metrics, analyzing performance, and setting targets to meet operational goals. Foster a positive work culture by embodying core company values such as teamwork, excellence, and growth. Identify and lead Continuous Improvement initiatives focused on safety, productivity, and quality. Review, monitor, and report on production and operational metrics. Standardize key plant processes and best practices across all locations. Drive continual improvement in conversion costs and productivity by implementing operational excellence strategies. Utilize ERP tools to maintain inventory accuracy and minimize material variances. Establish an accurate reporting and forecasting system. Evaluate weekly/monthly production and financial results, analyze significant variances, and collaborate with the Finance department to implement corrective actions. Ensure compliance with SQF/ISO standards Profile Bachelor's degree In Engineering 10 Years Manufacturing Experience Very knowledgeable on Plastics Manufacturing Operational Leadership Experience Excellent decision making and communication skills.
