Overview:

The Chicago office of Kaufman Dolowich, an AV-rated firm designated one of the Best Companies to Work For among U.S. law firms by U.S. News & World Report, is seeking an associate with 4 or more years of experience. The candidate would be joining a growing, dynamic firm with more than 200 attorneys nationwide.

The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial litigation or insurance coverage.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Represent clients in commercial litigation and professional liability litigation.
  • Analyze insurance policies to identify coverage issues and draft coverage opinions, reservations, and disclaimers.
  • Represent clients in insurance coverage litigation.

Qualifications:

EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience or interest in insurance coverage, cybersecurity, defense litigation and/or commercial litigation is a plus.
  • Superior academic credentials from a top-tier accredited law school.
  • Member in good standing of the Illinois bar. Indiana is a plus.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent legal research and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, and other Microsoft Office products.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems quickly.
